Search for “best astrologer in Surat” or “astrologer near me” and you’ll see dozens of names, each promising the moon. How do you choose someone you can actually trust with personal questions about love, marriage or career? Here is a practical checklist.
1. They listen before they predict
A good consultation starts with your situation and your questions. Be cautious of anyone who launches into dramatic predictions before understanding why you came.
2. They explain, not just declare
You should come away understanding why the astrologer said what they said – which house, which planet, which period. Clear explanation is a sign of real knowledge.
3. They are honest about limits
Astrology shows tendencies and timing. It cannot guarantee that a partner will return, that a family will agree, or that an investment will succeed. A responsible astrologer says this openly.
4. No fear, no pressure
Statements like “a terrible dosha will ruin your life unless you do this puja today” are a warning sign. Ethical guidance is calm, and remedies are optional – often simple, and sometimes free.
5. Privacy is respected
Your birth details and personal story should never be shared, published or used for marketing without your permission.
6. Transparent fees and process
You should know the fee, the duration and how the session will happen before you book. Hidden charges or vague arrangements are best avoided.
7. Experience you can relate to
Experience matters, but so does fit. Some people prefer an astrologer who speaks Gujarati, who understands family dynamics in Gujarat, or who is comfortable with NRI time zones.
